Academic Program
The objective of this department is to provide students with a strong background in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, so that they can apply that knowledge in their careers. The students will also have thinking skills, analytical skills, decision making skills, and problem solving skills which will enable them to solve problems that are related to the electronics and telecommunication engineering fields.
Characteristics:
The Electronics and Telecommunication department was established in 2005, under the faculty of Engineering and Architecture. At present only day time courses of study are offered.
The courses of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department consist of 2 parts. The first part studies the subjects of communication such as Microwave Engineering, Antenna Engineering, Wireless & Mobile Communication, Data Communication, Digital Communication, Optical Communication, etc.
The second part studies Electronic Circuits and an Embedded System. This includes Electronic Engineering, Digital Circuit and Logic Design, Microcontroller, Advance Electronic Circuit Design, Advance Microwave Circuit Design, and an Embedded System
The facilities of this department include Basic Electrical and Electronic Laboratory, Microwave Laboratory, Antenna & Transmission Lines Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, Embedded System Laboratory, Data Communication and Networking Laboratory, Optical Laboratory, Project Room and Common Room.
